Please read these terms carefully before using the Fyled platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Fyled Ltd ("Fyled", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By accessing or using the Fyled platform at fyled.tax, creating an account, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Fyled. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Service Description
Fyled is a tax filing and financial record-keeping platform designed for self-employed people in the United Kingdom. Our services include:
- Income tracking (cash fares, card payments, platform earnings, tips)
- Expense tracking across 14 HMRC-approved categories
- Mileage logging with automatic allowance calculation
- Real-time tax calculation (Income Tax and Class 4 National Insurance)
- Profit and Loss report generation
- Receipt scanning and categorisation via WhatsApp (paid plans)
- Quarterly MTD preparation (paid plans)
- Annual Self Assessment filing pack (Premium plan)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time with reasonable notice to users.
3. User Accounts
To use Fyled, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update this information as necessary to keep it accurate. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts for the same person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Fyled only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the platform to file fraudulent or misleading tax returns with HMRC
- Enter knowingly false or inaccurate financial data
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or data
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our software
- Use the platform for any purpose other than personal tax record-keeping and filing
- Sublicense, resell, or redistribute access to the platform without our written consent
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice.
5. Payment Terms
Fyled offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Standard and Premium). Paid plans are billed monthly unless otherwise stated. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Free Trial
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan will begin and you will be charged the applicable monthly fee.
Billing & Renewals
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. In exceptional circumstances, refunds may be considered at our discretion.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
6. Disclaimers
Important
Fyled is a software tool, not an accounting firm, tax advisory service, or financial adviser. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other financial regulatory body.
The tax calculations, reports, and information provided by Fyled are for informational purposes and are based on the data you enter and the current published HMRC rates and thresholds. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that our calculations are correct in every circumstance.
Fyled does not constitute financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for your tax obligations to HMRC. If you have complex tax affairs or are unsure about any aspect of your tax return, we recommend seeking advice from a qualified accountant or tax professional.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fyled Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the platform
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in tax calculations resulting from incorrect data entry
- HMRC penalties or interest arising from late or incorrect filings
- Unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to protect your credentials
- Any interruption or cessation of the service
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful components transmitted through the platform
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Fyled in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@fyled.tax or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of termination, except where doing so would compromise our security or legal obligations.
Upon account termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including applicable data retention periods required by HMRC.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Fyled platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on our platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Fyled after the updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
